Evo Music Art Work
My friends at Evo Music have used some of my artwork for their latest release! Very exciting to be able to be a small part of this as music has a huge place in my heart. When chatting to my very talented music making friends, although art making and music making are different practices, we can draw huge parallels between the two and identify along the same wavelength and thought process a lot of the time. I find the conversations we have together very organic and motivating, with both parties identifying with topics such as rhythm, repetition and pattern.

Dr Doodley's 2nd Annual Drink & Draw Exhibition
I am lucky enough to have a piece of my work included in Dr. Doodley's 2nd Annual Drink & Draw Exhibition, which opens to the public on 7th May 2014. You can pop along to see the show and enjoy a fine cup of coffee at one of the coolest cafes in Cambridge: Hot Numbers, where the show is due to be held.
Feel free to come along to the opening night, it should be good, with most of the artists who made the work there and, more than likely, in high spirits, from 6:30pm on 7th May.

Dr Doodley's Drink & Draw Window Box Display
Every second Tuesday, between 7 and 9pm, creative types in Cambridge meet at Hot Numbers Cafe to make, draw, paint, but most importantly, have fun! At each event a different artist volunteers to host the event, and come up with a short project for everyone to get involved in.
When Dan Biggs hosted the event a few weeks ago, he gave us the task of decorating the inside of a shoebox however we wanted. We started filling the boxes during the two hours at the cafe, then took them home to complete. Everyone who wanted their shoebox to be a part of the installation to follow dropped their completed box off at the next Drink & Draw event.
With all the boxes, Dan constructed an installation which is now displayed in the window of Elitian Printers on Mill Road for a little goody for passers-by to have a look at. I think each box provides a little insight in to the mind of the artist who created it!
The box I created shows a little mash-up of a few different projects I have made in the past. It includes drawing, etchings, with the use of chine-colle, and paper sculptures. So if you're out and about on Mill Road keep your eyes peeled and you'll be in for a treat!

Art Fair Private View at Cambridge Art Salon
So the festive season is over and we are in to a fresh new year! But
before we kiss goodbye to 2013, I just wanted to post a few snaps from
the Private View of the Christmas Art Fair at the Cambridge Art Salon,
from December 6th last year.
There was a fairly good turn out and it was nice to share a mince pie and some mulled wine with friends before we all went off our separate ways for the Christmas break. I also met some new friends too, which is lovley benefit of being involved with exhibition Private Views!

The second announcement this month is that a selection of my work can be seen at the
from now until 22nd Dec. On display there is a varied selection of art and hand-crafted gifts available to you, just in time for Christmas, for a loved one, or maybe you just fancy a treat for yourself! The show is certainly very colourful and you are bound to find at least one thing to tickle your fancy, or why not just come for a look around?
Opening Times
Friday 10:00-17:30
Saturday 10:00-17:30
Sunday 10:00-17:30
Cambridge Art Salon
29 Cromwell Road
Cambridge
CB1 3EB
There will be a Private View of the show Friday 6th December, so it would be lovely to see you there any time between 7 and 9pm!
During the workshop you will have a chance to make a dragonfly. With materials provided, you will be able to choose colours to decorate the body and stick on some wings of your choice. We will make as many dragonflies as we can to use in a light installation, which will be exhibited and shown off to passers by in the Salon window. On the Dragonfly's wings, we would like you to think of two gifts that enrich your life, and write them on each side. The outcome will be a swarm of happiness to warm up your spirits as we descend in to December!
